PABLO — Pablo Elementary School has two new teachers joining its staff.
Joe DiFulgentis teaches third grade. He hails from Allentown, Pennsylvania and lives in Arlee.
DiFulgentis completed student teaching at St. Ignatius Elementary and has also worked as a Title One paraeducator at DeSmet School in Missoula.
DiFulgentis and his wife have a 10-month-old son and two dogs.
He enjoys going on adventures with his family, skiing, mountain biking, ice/rock climbing, and listening to bluegrass music. He is a wildland firefighter in the summertime, and enjoys watching his students blossom during the rest of the year.
His favorite part of teaching is being a positive role model for youngsters.
Lily Hunter is a first grade teacher from Eagle River, Alaska, who recently graduated from Montana State University.
Her mother, dad, and dog live in Alaska. She has two older brothers who live in New York and California.
Hunter’s hobbies include playing the French horn, playing sports, hiking, camping, and backpacking. She also loves reading.
Hunter said it is hard to pinpoint her favorite thing about teaching.
“I really love finding creative, new, and exciting ways to teach new topics to kids,” Hunter said. “I also love the fact that there is never a boring day.”
