Larry L. Jensen

CALDWELL, IDAHO — Larry L. Jensen, a resident of the Mission Valley for many years, peacefully went to sleep Oct. 6, 2014, at his home in Caldwell, Idaho, surrounded by his loving family and devoted wife, Eunice.

In his youth, Larry’s family ranched in the St. Ignatius area, where he attended Mission High School. He married his high school sweet- heart, Eunice Erickson. They had four children and 58 wonderful years together. He and Eunice took many young people into their home over the years, giving them love and stability in their lives.  Larry was a devoted father and husband, a gentle, kind man, and he lived a life of continual Christian service, always helping others less fortunate, and setting a good example to everyone he met.  (He would offer the shirt off his back if he thought it was needed more somewhere else.)

He worked for Rhodes Bread for 40 years in various locations in the U.S. After a short retirement in the Ronan area, Larry returned to work for Rhodes in Caldwell, Idaho, driving truck and delivering supplies between plants, until his health would not longer allow him to work.

He was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, traveling long distances to deliver the word of God. As a last act of kindness to mankind, Larry donated his body to medical science, in hopes it will help others.

He is survived by his beloved wife Eunice; his four children Terri (Fred) Hebard of Niles, Mich., Judy (Steve) Schwab of Whitehall, Mont., Larry Jr. “Butch” (Jackie) Jensen and David (Michelle) Jensen, all of Auburn Wash.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members and dear friends who loved him.

He shall be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. A celebration of Larry’s life was held at the Caldwell Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Oct. 18, 2014. “Gifts of Remembrance” in Larry’s name may be made to the Caldwell Seventh-Day Adventist Community Center, Caldwell. Idaho. Per his wishes, there will be no services held in Montana.
