Good-bye eggplant; so long fresh garlic; bye-bye carrots, and flowers and jewelry, breads, and all things hand-crafted. What a grand market it was every Friday in Polson. Special thanks to those businesses on Third Street West that cooperated with sharing their store fronts for this event. We say adieu to the south shore greenhouses, whose wonderful plants provided us with an awesome splashes of eye-catching beauty all summer and now into the fall.
Our granddaughter, Kristen Theiler, designed the logo for the Polson Farmers Market. Her truck sailing across the bridge was perfect, and won $50 in market tokens. Kristen opted to donate those tokens to the Polson Loaves and Fish pantry. Her Grampy and I decided to match that with our own donation and later learned of Town Pump's matching funds. If you are considering a donation to a nonprofit, please write a check to the Food Pantry.
