Elaine Barbara Rogers Hagestad
POLSON — Elaine Barbara Rogers Hagestad, 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at St. Joseph Medical Center from natural causes.
She was born in Myrtle Creek, Ore. on Feb. 7, 1922 to Ara Pratt and Benton (Banty) Rogers. She was raised and attended school in Chinook and Hope.
She married Baker Hagestad October 25, 1939. They built the Ho-Hum Motel in Coran, which they later sold and moved to Oregon and California before returning to Polson.
Baker passed away June 21, 2001 and Elaine spent her last years at the Evergreen Health Center.
Parents; sisters Anne Doney Olson and Anastasia Seaman; and infant brother, Barton, preceded her in death.
Elaine is survived by niece, Arlene Doney Penhallegon; nephew, Roger (Helene) Doney; two daughters; two sons; and their families.
No services are planned at this time and inurnment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery.
