‘Make it With Wool’ winners advance to state

RONAN — The District 1 “Make it With Wool” contest was held Nov. 2 in Ronan. Seven youths and one adult participated in four age categories. All the garments were constructed from 60 to 100 percent wool. The completed outfits ranged from pants and dresses to two and three-piece combinations.
Morgan Brooks (Junior), Alyssa Liddle (Senior) and MichalAnn Stedje (Adult) will advance to the State contest Dec. 5 and 6 in Billings, in conjunction with the Montana Wool Growers Association annual convention.
This wool patchwork quilt will also be entered in the quilt contest at the MIWW contest in Billings. The fabrics used are scraps from former contestants’ garments. Watch for a raffle for this quilt in 2015.
