LIBBY – The Pirates had a successful week, overcoming Libby’s Loggers and snagging a second place finish in Eureka.

Dec. 16 in Libby the Pirates powered over the Loggers 46-24. Mateo Quinones (103), Cameron Brown (120), Parker Adler (126), Jaben Wenzel (132) and Tele Seemann all won their matches with Seemann strong-arming an impressive 0:19 pin at 170.

Alex Helgeson, Mike Corrigan and Isaiah Williams all won by forfeit.

At the Buzz Lucey in Eureka on Saturday, the Pirates placed second out of 11 teams with a team score of 134.

Corrigan grabbed a first place finish after a 1:39 pin over Whitefish’s Travis Catina at 205. Quinones and Seemann each placed second while Shane Pierre (113) and Jaben Wenzel (132) each took home third. Cody Hedeen (113) and Skylar Knutson (138) placed fourth.

Next up for the Pirates after the winter break will be the Ronan Duals on Jan. 2-3.
