ST. IGNATIUS - After taking a loss on Thursday, Mission’s Bulldogs punched it into high drive, coming back to achieve a victory and a split for the week.

At home Thursday, after a slow first half the Bulldogs fought back to up a few more points in the second but it wasn’t enough to push through the Wardens early lead, ending with the Bulldogs’ demise in the 38-55 loss to Deer Lodge.

Aaron Ahenakew, Gentry Brown and Will Powell all scored eight in the romp.

Friday the Bulldogs brought power play to the Vikings court with a comeback from the previous night’s game as if it never happened. Right out of the gate the Bulldogs strong-armed the Vikings with an early first frame 18 point lead and stayed on top to grab the 72-39 domination over Charlo.

Ahenekew topped Mission scorers with 22 while Powell chipped in another 14.

Mission will return after the break to host Florence Jan. 3 and Bigfork Jan.5.
