News from the Envision Polson Beautification Committee

POLSON — Judges for “Celebrate the Season of Light” spent three hours on the evening of Dec. 17 viewing all the submitted nominations of neighbors and owners who used lights to decorate their homes and businesses. Judges were impressed with the variety and designs of outdoor lights the Polson area had to offer and encouraged Polson residents to get out and view the seasonal lights.

Winners selected were:

•  Best business:  Vet Care Montana, 6 Seventh Ave.

•  Best residence: Tali and Bill Barron, 35210 Rocky Point Road

•  Best church:  Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E.

•  Best outdoor tree:  Lakeview Family Chiropractic, 212 Second Ave. E.

•  Best monochrome: Barb and Jim Sohm, 100 Pheasant Ridge Court

•  Best multiple colors: Lynda and Dan Swarteenberger, 609 Sixth Ave. E.

•  Best neighborhood lights:  Skyline Drive

The judges also recommended the lights at Bellvue Trailer Court, #11; the star on Jette Hill; and 33825 Fox Road, where the lights were extensive and computerized to music. The Fox Road home was outside the judging area but was worth the drive, according to the judges.

Celebrate the Season of Light is a program of the Envision Polson Beautification Committee and sponsored by the Polson Rotary.
