Arlee

ARLEE – The Warriors remain undefeated, heating up the floor after the winter break and bringing Arlee to 6-0 for the season after taking down the Wardens and Tigers in their fury. 

Friday the Warriors hosted Deer Lodge, coming away with the win but not without late game worries as Deer Lodge slipped by and doubled Arlee’s fourth quarter score. Despite the last ditch effort on the Wardens part, the Warriors persevered and captured the 60-55 victory due to steady point collection throughout the first three frames, led by Tyler Tanner netting 18.

Patrick Big Sam added 13 while Justis Haynes and Riley Rogers also had double-digit games. Haynes chipped in 11 and Rogers came in with 10.

Up next to face the Warrior’s punch was St. Regis. Arlee toppled the Tigers 76-33 at home Saturday.

Bradley Brazill high-scored for the Warriors, netting 21 points. Big Sam and Tanner chipped in 13 and Haynes added 12.

On Jan. 9 the Warriors will head to St. Ignatius to challenge Mission’s Bulldogs and then will play in Noxon Jan. 10.

Charlo

NOXON – At Noxon Saturday the Vikings led a steady attack to take down the Red Devils 63-19, not allowing Noxon to up anything more than a second frame, game-high score of 6 on the scoreboard.

Kobe Cox and Dalton Delaney secured the victory, each scoring 23 apiece while Dugan Runkel added 10 in the smashing.

Charlo will travel to Superior Jan. 8 and then return home to host Granite Jan. 10.

Mission

ST. IGNATIUS – At home on Saturday the Bulldogs hosted Florence, leading in the  first quarter. But Mission couldn’t hold on and fell to the Falcons, 44-58.

Bulldog Aaron Fisher- Ahenakew had a team-high 20 points for Mission.

Mission will host Arlee Jan. 9 and then head to Missoula to take on Loyola-Scared Heart Jan. 10.

Polson – Ronan

POLSON – The Chiefs and the Pirates squared off Saturday at Linderman gym, locking horns in a back and forth battle with the Chiefs coming out as victors in the 55-53 game but not before Polson strutted a high scoring fourth quarter to tie it up and push the game into overtime.

After falling behind by four going into the fourth, the Pirates netted 17, outscoring the Chiefs 13 and forcing an OT clock countdown. The Chiefs battled back to grab the win by two in the end.

Chiefs Cedric Earthboy and Jeremiah North Piegan each scored 19 points for Ronan in the stretched-out romp.

Netting 17, Pirate Matthew Rensvold high scored for Polson while Tanner Wilson added 14.

Ronan will host Deer Lodge Jan. 9 and will travel to Troy Jan. 10. The Pirates will host Columbia Falls Jan. 10.

Two Eagle River

VICTOR – A big third quarter by Victor’s Pirates help to secure a big lead over Two Eagle River, sending the Eagles home with the 30-61 non-conference loss at Victor on Saturday.

Eugene Parker and Chino Lira combined to pick up 27 out of the Eagles 30, Parker with 14 and Lira with 13.

The Eagles will travel to St. Regis Jan. 9 and then return home to host Superior Jan. 10.
