News from the City of Polson

POLSON — A City Commission Work Session will be held in Commission Chambers at 106 1st Street East on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. to receive information about the Proposed Water Rights Compact. Representatives from the State of Montana, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, and the Opponents of the Compact have been invited to give presentations.

The goal of this work session is to hear information strictly related to the municipal groundwater claims the City holds and how these claims may be affected by the Compact. After these informational presentations, the Commission may call for public comment and citizens are encouraged to attend. This work session will conclude promptly at 8 p.m. No political position on behalf of the City will be taken at this work session.

Any questions, please call Karen Sargeant at (406) 249-5123 or contact via email at parks@cityofpolson.com
