ARLEE — January has rushed by and we are well launched into the New Year. The 21st Century is just a teenager yet. Anyway, the Arlee senior citizens are looking forward to a good time at a special Valentine’s dinner and a bake sale of Valentine goodies that evening, plus the drawing for a lovely quilt designed and stitched by our favorite seamstresses: Connie, Joyce, Margaret and Sherry. Friends and neighbors are invited to join us for a special dinner and an end to the suspense of “Who Takes Home The Quilt.” Tickets for the drawing can be purchased that evening and are $2 each, 3 for $5, or 7 chances for $10.

Entrees and desserts in February: 

•  Lunches are served each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon.  

•  Dinners are served at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. 

•  All meals are served with a main entree, vegetable, fruit, rolls, milk, juice, coffee or tea, and a dessert.

• Wednesday, Feb. 4: enchiladas, salad, re-fried beans and peach cobbler

•  Friday, Feb. 6: chicken stir-fry, spring rolls, cottage cheese with fruit, buns, cookies

•  Monday, Feb. 9: spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, salad, fruit, cake

•  Wednesday, Feb. 11: sloppy Joes, chips, cheese and veggie tray, fruit, cookies

•  Friday, Feb. 13: ham and Lima beans, corn muffins, Jell-o, with veggies, pineapple upside down cake

•  Saturday, Feb. 14: special surprise Valentine dinner with the trimmings; Valentine bake sale, and drawing for the quilt

•  Monday, Feb. 16:  creamed turkey on biscuits, veggies, fruit and brownies

•  Wednesday, Feb. 18: chicken tenders, potato dish, broccoli Normandy, orange whip, and cookies

•  Friday, Feb. 20: meat loaf, scalloped potatoes, buns, salad, orange slices, cake

•  Monday, Feb. 23:  chef salad w/ham, turkey, cheese, cup o’ soup, buns, fruit, cake

•  Wednesday, Feb. 25: stroganoff and noodles, spinach, buns, apple crisp

•  Friday, Feb. 27: cook’s choice

•  Saturday, Feb. 28: baked chicken, potatoes and gravy, steamed broccoli, buns, fruit, and cheesecake
