The Warriors will be entering the District 14-C tournament this weekend on a roll after picking up another pair of wins this week.

The Warriors made it seven straight wins to end the regular season Friday as they pulled out a 58-55 home win over visiting Noxon. Trae Burland led Arlee with 18 points off the bench as the second and third quarters were the difference in the contest.

The Red Devils jumped out to a 15-11 lead after the opening quarter but the Warriors answered with a 17-11 run in the second frame to take a 28-26 halftime lead. Arlee widened the gap in the third quarter, outscoring Noxon 16-12 to go up 44-38 heading into the final eight minutes of action.

Noxon made a strong charge in the fourth, outscoring the Warriors 17-14. The comeback fell short, though, as the Warriors held on to get a three-point victory.

Burland's 18 led the way for the Warriors while Kasey Bridgewater added 11 and Jesse Pfau scored 10.

Travis Tammaro led Noxon with 23 points.

Burland was also the leading scorer for the Warriors Tuesday as he notched a game-high 19 points in a 64-35 win over visiting Alberton.

Unlike Friday's contest, the outcome of Tuesday' game was never really in doubt as Arlee jumped out to a 21-9 lead after eight minutes of play and never looked back. The Warriors added another 22 in the second frame to build a 43-16 halftime advantage. Arlee cruised in the second half to pick up the win.

Burland scored 17 of his 19 points in the opening half en route to being the game's high scorer while Pfau also finished the game in double figures with 10 points.

With the wins, the Warriors finish the regular season tied with Charlo atop the District 14-C standings with a 9-1 district record. The Warriors are 15-3 overall.

The Scarlets opened the week with a heart-breaking one-point loss to Alberton Tuesday but broke their five-game losing streak Friday with a 47-37 win over visiting Noxon.

A free throw by Alberton's Dani Hanley with 11 seconds to play was the difference Tuesday as the Panthers escaped with a 39-38 victory.

A close game throughout, the Panthers led by two after the opening quarter but the Scarlets were able to cut their deficit to 20-19 at the half.

Alberton used a strong third-quarter push to take a 31-25 lead into the final eight minutes but Arlee came storming back in the fourth quarter. Mahalia Hendren was able to tie the game at 38 with less than a minute to play before Hanley's free throw proved to be the game winner.
Hendren and Whitney Malatare each scored 15 in the loss for the Scarlets.

Hanley led Alberton with 20 points.

The Scarlets ended their five-game losing streak Friday as Arlee used a strong second-half push to earn a 47-37 win over visiting Noxon.

Arlee led 11-6 after the opening quarter but the Lady Red Devils came back strong in the second quarter to take a 21-19 halftime lead.

The second half belonged to Becca Nelson and the Scarlets. Nelson scored 10 of her 13 points after halftime as Arlee outscored Noxon 28-16 over the final 16 minutes to get the win.

Malatare led Arlee with 14 points in the win while Nelson added 13 and Kristyn Adams had 12.
With the win, the Scarlets close out the regular season 4-4 in district play and 5-11 overall.

Both the Warriors and Scarlets enter the post season this weekend as the district tournament gets underway in Ronan Thursday.
