POLSON – The Lady Pirates were on fire in Tuesday’s home opener with every Lady Pirate single and doubles team securing a win to beat Libby 7-0.

Mollie Lemm led the way, only giving up one game to Libby in her 6-0, 6-1 set. Natalee Wheeler also enjoyed a dominating set going 6-1, 6-1.

For the Lady Pirates doubles team Taylor Rost/Shawna Lenz fared the best with a 6-2, 6-1 finish.

While the girls dominated the courts, the Pirates ended their day with a 2-5 loss.

Though the Pirates only scored a pair of wins those wins were nothing less of impressive.

Pirate Tim Russell out-sparred his opponent 6-0, 6-1 while Mat Sitter shut down his Logger counterpart 6-1, 6-1.

Polson will head to Columbia Falls April 9 and then will compete at the Cut Bank Invitational April 10-11.
