POLSON — In the spring a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love. At least according to Alfred Lord Tennyson. Us old codgers may not be thinking so much about love but the weather does inspire us. It makes me want to shout, “Put the saddle on the stove mother, I’m riding the range tonight!”

Our tax people will be here one last time on April 9. I’m told someone will be here on April 15 also, for any last minute stragglers.

The AARP driving course for April 21 is filling up fast. Get your name in now.

The veterans’ representative will be here on April 28, not April 21, as printed in our schedule.

Diana Sawyer had high women’s game in senior bowling with her 235, followed closely by Frani Basta with 234. Larry Alter rolled a 277 to capture the men’s high game with Jack Adamson coming in with a 276. Diana took the women’s series with 582. Larry Alter had a 737 for the men’s series. Diana also had the high handicap series with 813. Keith Ross rolled 741 for men’s handicap series.

We plan on resuming bingo on Friday, April 10.

Our lunch menu for the coming week will be:

•  Thursday, April 9: turkey rigatoni

•  Friday, April 10: Sloppy Joes, French fries

•  Monday, April 13: taco soup, corn bread

•  Tuesday, April 14: pork chow mien, rice

•  Wednesday, April 15: baked chicken

Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

When you’ve seen one shopping center, you’ve seen a mall.

Have a good week.
