News from the Lake County Pachyderm Club

POLSON — Anyone interested in learning what is currently happening in the office of the Lake County Attorney is invited to attend the Friday, April 10 meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club.

Steve Eschenbacher, Lake County Attorney, will be reporting on the dramatic increase of felony charges, as there are already 100 felonies on file this quarter as compared with 200 to 240 such charges for the entire year in 2014. He has plans to triple the dependency and neglect case filings and is also going after writers of bad checks. Another possibility is working with local law enforcement to set up DUI roadblocks in an effort to keep roads safer.

There will be a time for questions and answers. Eschenbacher invites suggestions as to what needs to happen in Lake County to improve prosecutions of various types of offenders.

The meeting will be held in the Polson Rural Fire Hall on Regatta Road near the fairgrounds. The meeting begins with a social time at 11:30; the business meeting starts at noon and concludes at 1 pm.
