Library to unveil outdoor ‘Free Little Library’ kiosks

News from North Lake County Public Library

POLSON — North Lake County Public Library invites the public to the unveiling of four Little Free Libraries. The event will take place at the library at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 13.

Library Director Marilyn Trosper will launch the project in honor of National Library Week. Everyone is welcome, and refreshments will be served.

The new Little Free Libraries are weatherproof, handcrafted structures that have been creatively painted by local artists. They will contain constantly changing collections of 20-25 books that are contributed and shared by passersby of all ages and backgrounds. Based on the “take a book, leave a book” concept, these small outdoor structures have enjoyed great popularity worldwide. There are currently more than 25,000 registered Little Free Libraries in all 50 states and 70 countries.

Polson’s will be placed in various locations around the area after the unveiling.

North Lake County Public Library is located at #2 First Ave. E. in Polson. For more information, please call the circulation desk at (406) 883-8225.
