POLSON— It’s time to celebrate Spring with Polson’s annual Clean-Up Green-Up on Friday, April 24. Spring is springing up all over and also sprouting up is the trash that has accumulated over the winter. Join friends, neighbors, co-workers, scout troops, youth groups, and school kids in picking up the trash along the roads all around our beautiful city.

Stop by the North Lake County Public Library from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. to pick up a route assignment, trash bags and gloves. Participants can clean their assigned area any time in the next week if they are not available to work on Friday.

Plan to take a few minutes to attend the dedication ceremonies for the Welcome to Polson sign at the Walmart location scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. Community members were given opportunities last spring and summer to vote on their choice of three welcome sign designs for each of the three main routes into Polson and the completed signs, designed and created by Polson artist Rob Gunderson, are ready to welcome visitors as well as residents. The signs are a collaborative effort of the Polson Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Polson Community Foundation, the Orton Foundation, Envision Polson Beautification Committee, and the City of Polson.

When trash pickup is finished Republic Services will have a special dumpster in the parking lot across from the VFW in Polson for participants to drop off accumulated trash. Everyone is invited to join the other clean-up crewmembers at Glacier Brewing at 5 p.m.
