Gene Schock
RONAN – Gene Schock, 75, of St. Ignatius, passed away April 8, 2015, in Ronan, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Wolf Point, Montana, on June 18, 1939, to the late Chris and Esther Schock. He attended Wolf Point High School and Lustre Christian High School. In the mid 1960s he moved his family out to Ronan, where he operated a dairy farm. Gene owned and ran a restaurant in Polson for a time before moving to St. Ignatius, where he lived until his passing. He raised sheep and cattle. He was an extremely diligent worker, committed to giving his animals the best care possible. Gene also drove a school bus for many years.
Gene Schock is survived by his wife, Judie; his four children, Wesley of Keene Valley, New York, Valerie of Bakersfield, California, Timothy of Temecula, California, and Ronald of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and one brother, Jarrell, of Fort Peck, Montana; one niece; one nephew; as well as many other relatives and friends.
