RONAN — The annual Tana Bockman Memorial Golf for the Griz Tournament will be held again in Ronan on Friday, May 15. The co-ed scramble is an opportunity for area golfers to meet and play golf with University of Montana Grizzly coaches and staff. The tourney will be followed by a whole pig barbecue and trimmings.
The Mission Mountain Chapter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association (GSA) is sponsoring the tourney on the Mission Mountain Golf Course. Last year, 18 teams participated in the scholarship fundraiser. The fee for participants is $80 per golfer ($70 for MMGC card holders). The fee includes golf, cart, barbecue and prizes. The charge for those who only want the barbecue is $25.
The four-person 18-hole scramble will tee off with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. The barbecue will begin at 4 p.m. All proceeds from the tournament go toward scholarships for U of M Grizzly student athletes.
Entries may be picked up and dropped off at the golf course or sent to Mission Mountain Golf Course, 46664 Golf Course Way, Ronan MT 59864, attention Brian. Entry fees must accompany the entries. No entries will be accepted on the day of the tournament. For more information, contact GSA chapter president Mack McConnell, P.O.
