LIBBY – The Lady Pirates were victorious in all three of the contests played this last week. Though Polson logged 10 errors across three games, a strong offense trumped defensive mistakes to give the Lady Pirates an impressive three game total of 29 hits.

At Libby on Thursday the Lady Pirates picked up a 6-2 win against the Lady Loggers with both teams going scoreless in every inning except for one, where the Lady Pirates came out ahead.

Hannah Potter batted in four of the team’s six runs on her 2-4 plate performance, including a homerun, while Taylor Brackey was 2-3 with a double. Camas Renault scored the win for Polson from the circle.

Saturday the Lady Pirates competed at the Frenchtown Invite, finding a split at the end of the day.

Against Florence the Lady Pirates fell into trouble after remaining scoreless for the first three innings as Florence picked up the early lead and held on. The Lady Pirates would fall to Florence 5-9 but not without a double and a homerun off the bat of Potter, who finished the game 2-4.

Haley Fyant and Skyla Krantz both logged a pair of hits for their three times at bat to lead the team at the dish.

In a determined comeback, the Lady Pirates found themselves on the victorious end of a tough battle against Belgrade.

While all tied up going into the final inning, the Lady Pirates posted one more than their opponent in the end with a run scoring on a walk to seal the 7-6 win.

Brackey plated perfect for the Lady Pirates, going 3-3 with a double and an RBI. Sarah Rausch smacked a homer to add a pair of runs on the scoreboard.

The Lady Pirates will host Glacier on Thursday and will head back to Frenchtown Friday to compete against the Lady Broncs.
