Shirley Lucille Unruh
RONAN — Shirley Lucille Unruh, age 97, of Ronan, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at St. Luke Community Hospital.
She was born to Hattie and Barry Anders in Greely, Minnesota, on Nov. 4, 1917. She came with her parents to Pablo in 1918 where her parents homesteaded. She married Leo Unruh on Sept. 11, 1940.
Shirley worked for School District 30 for five years before her retirement. At this time she and Leo moved to the Woods Bay area where they owned property on the lake. In 2008 they moved back to the Ronan are to be closer to their family.
Her son Alan and his wife Cheryl of Ronan; two grandsons Jacob of Missoula and David and his wife Joyanne of Ronan; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive Shirley. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two sisters and her husband Leo. Services will be held on Tuesday; May 12, 2015, at 11 a.m. in The Shrider-Thompson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Ronan Cemetery.
