News from Dan Aadsen Ford

RONAN – Don Aadsen Ford, in conjunction with the Ford Focus on Child Hunger campaign, will be collecting jars of peanut butter to support the summer demand for kid-friendly foods at Ronan Bread Basket.

The peanut butter drive, which runs from June 5-13, is in response to the increased demand for this expensive staple during the summer months, when many children lose access to school nutrition programs. It is estimated nearly 24 percent of children are unsure how their next meal will be provided and when school is out during the summer months, local food banks carry a larger responsibility to feed kids. Peanut butter is an important protein staple to feed kids during these summer months, but is difficult to acquire in adequate quantities.

To make a donation, bring jars of peanut butter to Don Aadsen Ford, from June 5-13. Additionally, we will be at Ronan Harvest Foods on June 5 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. to accept donations. Those unable to donate in person can also give online at www.fordfeedskids.org by clicking on the food bank of their choice to make a cash donation.

This drive is part of a five-state campaign in the Pacific Northwest by Ford dealers to support their community food banks and to make sure no child goes hungry this summer. Started in 2013, the Ford Focus on Child Hunger has provided more than 1 million meals and snacks to hungry kids in the Pacific Northwest.
