Mariners split a pair with Kalispell Lakers A

POLSON — After a tough trip to Kalispell on Wednesday to play the Lakers AA team, falling 10-0 by the mercy rule, the Mission Valley Mariners A pulled it together to split a conference doubleheader with the Lakers A team in Polson Sunday.

In the first round, the Lakers managed to squeak by the Mission Valley team 14-11, but the Mariners picked up the pace in the nightcap for a 12-3 win. Bransen Krebs, Nyqolas Gillingham and Tyson Petticrew each had two runs, and Warren Wood doubled twice to lift the Mariners.

Mission Valley also hosted the Kootenai Valley Rangers on Tuesday.
