Krystle Marie Gilchrist

POLSON — On Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, our beloved Krystle Marie Gilchrist, “Bunky,” joined our Heavenly Father. She was 28 years old.

She is survived by her parents Klaus and Jacque Gilchrist of Polson and her son Fox Johnson of Whitefish, as well as numerous other family members and loved ones.

Krystle graduated from Polson High School in 2004, where she lettered in cheerleading, was a member of the football managers’ team and a member of the choir. She loved choir both in school and in church.

She moved to Whitefish where she lived for the last 10 years. During those years she worked different jobs, one of which was managing the Emerald City Casino. While working full-time she earned her degree in 2009 in interior decorating from Penn Foster Career School.

After graduating she started “Seasonal Sensations by Krystle,” which allowed her to use her creativity to help others with party planning and decorating.

Krystle enjoyed mentoring kids through youth organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters. One of her favorite activities with the kids was rollerskating.

Some of Krystle’s hobbies and interests were sewing, quilting, writing poetry and creative writing. Krystle also enjoyed playing music. She played a few instruments over the years, but her favorite was the electric keyboard, which she played by ear at an early age.

On June 28, 2009, she gave birth to Fox Ryley Johnson. When Fox was about 3 years old, they both started “Fox’s Used Toys” where they collected used toys and clothes and distributed them to those in need.

Krystle’s beautiful smile and love for life will be with us until we meet again.

A Memorial Service will be held on July 18, 2015, at the Lake Funeral Home and Crematory at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at 2 p.m. at the Mission Valley Elks.
