Sandy Starkel Cheff

TROUT CREEK — Sandy Starkel Cheff, 58, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010 of breast cancer at her home in Trout Creek.

Sandy was born to Whitey and Belle Starkel in Los Angeles, Calif. in 1951. Her family moved back to the Mission Valley when she was 4 years old. Sandy met the love of her life at age 5 after tackling and kissing Happy Cheff.

In 40 years of marriage, they had five kids and added 17 grandchildren to their family. Sandy partnered with Hap as he pastored churches in Ronan and Trout Creek. Faithfully serving her Lord Jesus Christ, Sandy has left a legacy of love and holy living that is evident to everyone she has known and loved.

Detail oriented Sandy has made sure that she made her relationship with Christ a priority and now that she is spending eternity with Him, she would want to encourage you to make sure your eternity is secure in the hope of Christ Jesus.

Sandy is survived by husband, Hap Cheff; children, spouses and grandchildren Valerie and Craig Lunsford with Felicia, Stephan, Micah, and Micaela; Dan “Happy” Jr. and Jennifer Cheff with Happy III, Noah, Caleb and Olivia; Misty and Mark Cordier with Kole, Kabrina, and Keana; Stormy and Jeremy Taylor with Logan, Luke and Levi; Suny and Sue Cheff with Suny Jr., Jed, and Faith; father, Whitey Starkel; siblings Renee’ Summers, Dennis and Becky Starkel, Norm and Chris Starkel, Rick and Evaleen Starkel, Lana Toelke, and Doug and Tammy Starkel.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Belle Starkel. 

In lieu of flowers Sandy has requested donations be made to: Cabinet Mountain Bible Church, P.O. Box 1475, Trout Creek, MT 59974.

Funeral Services will be at First Baptist Church in Ronan on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m.
