Peter J. Liberti
EVARO — Peter J. Liberti, 69, passed away Dec. 28, 2009.
Born August 2, 1940 to Antoinette Cutronio and Salvatore Liberti in Buffalo, N.Y., he attended schools there and then joined the Army. After two tours to Vietnam, Peter returned to Missoula and served as an Army recruiter.
He enjoyed visiting with friends and had a special affinity to prove that one person’s garbage can be another’s “goldmine.” Peter was a good father, husband and friend. He could muster up humor to lighten life’s heaviest moments.
His parents preceded Peter in death.
He is survived by daughter, Misty Liberti; grandson, Isaac Fleming; and siblings Joanne (Jerry) Highway, Marie (Sonny) Calabrese, Joe (Olga) Liberti, Shirley (John) Sardina and Pat Liberti.
A wake began Jan. 1 with rosary being recited. Mass was Jan. 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Mission with burial following in the St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery.
