POLSON — Help is available for veteran families who are literally homeless or imminently at risk of homelessness from the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program through the Community Action Partnership of Northwest Montana.
The SSVF will provide eligible veteran families, whose income is 50 percent below the area median income, with outreach, case management, assistance obtaining VA benefits and other supportive series to help them get housing or keep their current housing.
In order to qualify for SSVF services, including financial assistance, families must have exhausted all other resources.
Assistance for veterans in Lake and Sanders counties is available by calling the Polson office, 406-883-3470, Mondays through Thursdays.
SSVF is funded by the US Department of Veteran Affairs.
