Have coffee with chief
RONAN — As part of the City of Ronan’s ongoing commitment to openness, responsiveness to the community and efforts to enhance citywide communication, the Ronan Police Department hosts a program called “Coffee with the Chief.”
This program provides residents with an opportunity to personally meet with their police chief in a friendly, casual and informational setting, such as a local restaurant or coffee shop. At “Coffee with the Chief” residents will learn about the operations of the police department, discuss community matters of interest and get to know Police Chief Ken Weaver.
Please join Chief Weaver for “Coffee with the Chief” Tuesday, Aug. 18 at Stella’s Coffee Shop from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. “Coffee with the Chief” will be a reoccurring event that will take place every month at various locations in Ronan.
PFD plans annual Boot Drive
POLSON — The Polson Fire Department will conduct its annual Boot Drive. Your fire fighters will collect donations downtown and near Walmart in Polson on Friday evening and Saturday mid-day. Please be careful and patient driving through intersections. Funds raised will go to the PFD membership to purchase safety equipment, clothing, and to support other worthy causes. As always, remember to test your carbon monoxide and smoke detectors and shake your fire extinguishers.
