POLSON – Want to know a little known fact? Mahatma Gandhi did a lot of walking, often without shoes. He had serious calluses on his feet. Because of his meager diet he was quite frail and it contributed to his bad breath. He was ... wait for it ... a super — callused fragile mystic hexed with halitosis.
The annual meeting for the election of officers will be held at the birthday dinner on Aug. 28.
Dan Crevar lived a full life with many friends. A celebration of his life will be held at the Elks Lodge on Sept. 5 at 1 p.m.
There will be no bingo on Sept. 4th or Sept. 11.
Our lunch menu for the coming week:
— Thursday, Aug. 27: Polish dogs, macaroni and cheese
— Friday, Aug. 28: roast pork, whipped potatoes – the birthday dinner
— Monday, Aug. 31: sausage gravy and biscuits
— Tuesday, Sept. 1st, spaghetti, garlic bread, green beans
— Wednesday, Sept. 2: chef salad, hard-boiled eggs, rolls
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
