Charlo

VICTOR — Charlo quarterback Michael Delaney was a force to be reckoned with Saturday afternoon as the 3-0 Vikings forced Victor’s Pirates to walk the plank in a 46-16 judgment.

Charlo was first on the board as Delaney ran for three touchdowns in the second quarter, covering 10, 50 and 6 yards respectively before coming back from halftime to hit Landers Smith with a 30-yard toss good for another TD. Smith scored again on a 2-yard run, and Brady Fryberger and Jared Doty also scored on 12 and 11-yard runs.

Doty also chipped in two interceptions.

The Vikings will celebrate homecoming on Friday when they host district rival Arlee for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Ronan

LIBBY — The Chiefs let loose in Libby Friday night as they handed the Loggers a 69-13 loss in the nonconference matchup.

While Libby scored first, the Chiefs held a 22-7 lead after the first frame, and never let the Loggers get any closer. Seven Ronan players rushed for touchdowns: Josh Morgan scored twice on runs of 8 and 18 yards, and Tyler Houle (6 yards), Ezekiel Misa (15 yards), Bailey Moss (45 yards), Kade Schutzman (1 yard), Brendon Blood (8 yards) and Kasey Mock (5 yards) each had a TD. Aaron Misa scored on a fumble return after a blocked punt in the first quarter, and Trevor Anderson returned an interception for a score in the second frame.

The Chiefs rushed for a total of 332 yards while holding Libby to just 115.

Ronan will host the Thompson Falls Bluehawks Friday evening.

Polson

CORVALLIS — Fans got their money’s worth Friday night as Polson and Corvallis met in an offensive showdown, with the visiting Pirates hanging on for the 48-43 win.

Quarterback Tanner Wilson completed 18 of 26 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns; he also rushed for two TDs. Matthew Rensvold had 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns, as well as four catches for 55 yards and a TD. Hudson Smith caught eight passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns.

On defense, Rensvold contributed 15 tackles and a sack, while Kabe Forman-Webster added eight tackles. Smith turned in three tackles and an interception and broke up five Corvallis passes.

The Pirates host Dillon on Friday.

St. Ignatius

The Mission Bulldogs were handed a tough 20-12 loss by the visiting Florence Falcons on Friday, putting the Bulldogs at 1-2 on the season. Mission travels to Bigfork this Friday.
