POLSON — Butte Central had nothing on the Pirates as the visiting Maroons couldn’t match the passing and rushing offense in Polson’s 28-14 victory.

Quarterback Tanner Wilson rushed 19 times for 175 yards, completing 10 of 21 passes for 227 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Matthew Rensvold had a stellar game on both offense and defense, scoring three touchdowns and tackling eight times.

He had two rushing touchdowns plus four receptions for 120 yards that included a touchdown.

Safety Tanner Wilson notched seven tackles, followed by senior lineman Nick Marquardt with five tackles and a sack.

Polson intercepted Butte Central four times. Wilson had two, while cornerback Jacob Harrod and linebacker Jonah Burke each stole one apiece.

The Pirates are 1-1 in conference and 3-3 overall. Polson will travel to Columbia Falls on Friday.
