Calling all Superheroes

RONAN — The annual Mission Valley Kids Run/Walk will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 at the Mission Mountain Golf Course in Ronan to raise funding for local parks, trails and projects.

To make the event extra-fun, event organizers encourage participants to dress as the Superhero of their choice, and the best capes will be chosen. The event includes face painting, food and fun.

Registration for Chip times starts at noon. Race fees are $20 for a single or $45 for a family.

The race is sponsored by Friends of Regional Parks & Trails.

Play to feature pirates

RONAN — Be prepared for lots of fun as the Ronan Middle School Drama Department presents a performance of the play, “Blackboot’s Lost Loot” at the Ronan Performing Arts Center on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.

The performance includes lots of pirates, lost treasure, dancing, and ducks. General admission tickets are $5 and will only be sold at the door the evening of the play.

Community Spirit Basket project returns

News from Glacier Bank

LAKE COUNTY — Glacier Bank will carry on the tradition of the Community Spirit Basket project as they prepare to sponsor the ninth annual event.

The bank invites anyone to donate a basket full of items starting Nov. 9. Each year 100 percent of ticket sales are donated; last year’s event brought in $3,800. This year the proceeds will be split between the Ronan and Polson food banks and the Lake County CASA program.

When baskets are on display, raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each. Tickets are placed in the basket of the purchaser’s choice. Participants need not be present to win.

The drawings will take place at Glacier Bank Ronan lobby Thursday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. during the Ronan Chamber Roundup, and at the Polson Chamber SPLASH event at Glacier Bank Polson Dec. 17 at 6 p.m.

For more information, contact Chris in Ronan at 406-528-3331 or Mandy in Polson at 406-758-8004.
