Randy Urbaniak
RONAN — Randy Urbaniak's "Earth Walk" ended on Oct. 16, 2015. A youthful 65, he enjoyed life to the fullest. A North Dakota lad, he escaped the cold to Hawaii in his early twenties for twenty-plus years, built two boats, fished the waters of Hawaii, became a connoisseur of stones and crystals while traveling to many foreign countries, then shared them and his beautiful heart with thousands of people as a "Road Warrior."
Randy's walk was powered by his heart, love of the earth, and his pure joy of community, with a desire to ease the human condition. So, in returning to Pablo and "earning his dog house in heaven," he (and his silent co-owner Chico Rivera), shared the five-acre ranch with folks who needed a respite. His joy was bringing a smile to people's faces and warming their hearts with silly jokes.
His parting words were, “I want to fly with the Eagles.” The day after his passing, we saw eagles flying over the house. He preferred his earth walk barefoot, to carry a "Light" load, and walk his own trail. We miss you Randy.
