WWI film, music night set at museum

POLSON — “A Night at the Museum” offers free, fun, family, educational entertainment Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Miracle of America Museum in Polson.

Just one day after Veterans Day, the program will be showing “America Over There,” original footage of America’s involvement in WWI, the war to end all wars. A bonus will be the musically talented Sylvie and Angelina Johnson entertaining with WWI music. They are the 2015 Twin Fiddle champions at the Montana State Fiddlers Contest. Their mother will share some thoughts about her Great Uncle, Dr. Joseph Garry, who was on the Lusitania that was sunk by a German submarine. This sinking caused most apathetic Americans to get behind the war effort. The evening will conclude with a tour of rare artifacts related to WW1 from the museum’s military displays. Treats and donations are welcome.
