POLSON — The Miracle of America Museum continues their second Thursday “Night at the Museum” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10, just three days after the anniversary of the “day that will live in infamy.” The museum will present the feature length movie “Tora! Tora! Tora!”
The movie will be preceded by a personalized tour of related artifacts in the museum displays. The attack on Pearl Harbor ended the budding naval career of David Smart, a Polson veteran whose body still lies entombed in the hold of the battleship USS Arizona. Original prewar souvenirs — such as an Arizona hat ribbon, ship postmarked letters to home, and other items — pale in comparison to the sad telegrams and letters from the Department of Navy, Purple Heart, and mother’s Gold Star pin.
