POLSON — Robert Reginald “Bob” DePoe Jr. was born April 4, 1956, and returned to his Heavenly home Nov. 20, 2015.

Robert was born to Robert Reginald DePoe Sr. and Rita H. Couture in Wallace, Idaho. He was raised in the Polson and Hot Springs area. During some troubled times in his early childhood, Robert acquired the roles of protector and leader to his siblings. He loved his family and was always concerned for each of their well beings.

Some of his occupations included laborer in sawmills, truck driver - anhydrous ammonia, crude oil, gasoline, and logs. On the weekends he hauled hundreds of cords of firewood! For the past 22 years he has worked as Head of Maintenance for KwaTaqNuk Resort. He also served as a Reserve Officer for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert was proud of his heritage as a member of the Salish Kootenai Tribes. He was also a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon).
