LAKE COUNTY — Competitive Lake County athletes who’ve worked hard throughout the fall season have earned the attention of postseason selection committees.

Class A

In Class A, three Polson High School athletes were selected for All-State honors.

Junior Matthew Rensvold’s defense as an inside linebacker earned him a spot on All State and first team All Conference. Rensvold was also selected to the All Conference Offense first team as a tight end.

Junior Tanner Wilson played safety, earning him both All State and All Conference for defense. In addition, he was selected for the All Conference second team offense as quarterback.

All State and All Conference honors also went to senior Hudson Smith as a wide receiver.

Other All Conference selections from Polson include senior Nick Marquardt (lineman, second team), senior Jacob Harrod (punter, first team and cornerback, second team) and junior Kabe Forman-Webster (tackle, second team).

Class B

Two local athletes earned All-State honors, ranking in the top six players of Class 6B football while also being named to First Team All Conference for their offense.

Aaron Misa, a junior at Ronan High School, plays tight-end/ defensive end for the Chiefs. He earned a fifth-place ranking overall in All-State and was selected to First Team All Conference Offense as a tight end.

On his heels ranked sixth place All-State is Tyler Spidel, a Mission Bulldog senior who was also selected to First Team All-Conference as an offensive lineman and All-Conference Special Teams as a punter.

Several other players were also selected for All-Conference teams.

Bulldog offensive lineman Emilio Bravo was chosen for First Team All Conference.

Second Team All-Conference Offense selections from Mission include senior offensive center Ethan Goss-Dickie and sophomore running back Gus Bosley; Ronan selections include junior offensive lineman Gray Cook and sophomore wide receiver Ezekiel Misa.

Ronan sophomore Brendon Blood, in the position of defensive back, was honored as the only local player chosen for First Team All Conference Defense.

Second Team All Conference Defense players include Mission senior Bill von Holtum (inside linebacker), Goss-Dickie (defensive lineman), and Ronan junior Tyler Houle (inside linebacker).

The Ronan Maiden volleyball team boasted two players who earned postseason awards. Lee Camel was selected for First Team All Conference while Jordan Clairmont was chosen for Second Team All Conference.

Class C

In Western C football, All Conference Team players include Arlee seniors Alex Bertolt, Brad Brazill, Harold Yocum, Isaac Desjarlais, Patrick Bigsam and junior Tyler Tanner.

Charlo selections include seniors Bridger Smith, Jade Smith, Michael Delaney and junior Jared Doty.

With the fall season behind them, many of the athletes are already competing again on the wrestling mats or the basketball hardwood as the winter season begins.
