Port Polson Inn, an Americas Best Value Inn in Polson, received a prestigious “500 Club” award recently at Vantage Hospitality Group’s 16th annual International Educational Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas.

The “500 Club” award is presented each year to Americas Best Value Inn, Canadas Best Value Inn and Lexington by Vantage hotels that achieve a perfect score in their quality assurance inspection. The inspection rates quality in housekeeping, maintenance, appearance, life safety issues, lobby and marketing. Promoting and encompassing the brand’s reputation of providing guests with friendly, personalized service and exceptional quality at an outstanding value is also taken into consideration.

This is the third year Port Polson Inn has won the award with a perfect score, according to owner Annie Engebretson.

“It is a big deal,” she said, adding that out of 1,200 properties, only 30 or 40 earned the award this year. “Getting 500 is really good. We’ve also come in at 498, 499 in the past.”

Roger Bloss, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality, the parent company of Americas Best Value Inn, Canadas Best Value Inn, and Lexington by Vantage, commended all the hotels that received a 500 Club award.

“It’s a credit to every member on staff, from the general manager to the housekeepers, that their dedication, hard work and superior customer service resulted in a perfect rating,” Bloss said.
