Gerald Eder

SPRING CREEK, NEVADA — Gerald Eder was called home to be with his mother, Mary Branning Eder, his father, Fredrick Eder, and his step-son Carl Thomas Dunn. He passed away Tuesday evening, January 26, 2016 at his residence in Spring Creek, Nevada, at the age of 61.

Jerry was born in Ronan on Dec. 24, 1954. He graduated in 1974 from Ronan High School. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1979 and shortly after, he married Camilla Brown (Ross) on Aug. 9, 1980. While in the service, he lived for nearly three years on Guam, then was stationed in Long Beach California, and finished his Naval career in 1985. He loved exploring, hiking and working in the woods, cutting firewood, hunting and fishing. In his younger days in Montana he enjoyed working at Big “R” Automotive in Polson with his best friend and “Blood Brother” Roy Baltz, Sr. In mid-1988 he and Cammie couldn’t overcome their differences and they divorced. He met Cindy Kay Dunn in Lincoln, Montana, and they moved to Spring Creek, Nevada. On Aug. 13, 1995, they were married. While in Nevada, Jerry worked at two different shops as a machinist until he retired in 2015.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Cindy Eder; his five siblings: Fredrick John Eder of Whitefish, Thomas Eder of Garrison, Robert Eder of St. Ignatius, Mary Lou Flynn of Polson and Susan Faye Cleal of Arizona; his children: Savannah Eder, Selena Eder, Fredrick Eder and his step-daughter Michelle Williams; and his grandchildren: Arianna Douglas, Phoenix Douglas, Jaeden Douglas, RossLynn Wilson, Remington Wilson, Khloe Leverton-Eder, Cory Williams, Courtney Williams, and Kaylee Williams.
