Shoppers pick favorite quilts at Walk Around Polson

POLSON — Winners of All In Stitches Quilt Walk Around Polson have been decided by public vote.
Joyce Rux’s “Feels Like Spring” took the prize. The predominantly lavender and green quilt is adorned with time-intensive appliqué stitching outlining details of each design within a block.
Second place goes to Virginia Halgren’s depiction of Montana, including wildlife, mountains and a silhouette of the state in earthtone colors.
Viktra Bumgarner’s “Follow the Leader” quilt has diamond shaped fabrics and stripes with subtle quilted hearts, surrounded by a “flying geese” pattern on the edges.
A total of 33 entries were displayed throughout a dozen Polson businesses for two weeks as shoppers voted for their favorites.
