ARLEE — Things are looking up for the Arlee Senior Center. Our new well is producing plenty of water; it’s clearing up nicely, and the center is open and serving meals on our regular schedule. There will be an additional meal every Tuesday at 6 p.m. until the end of June, plus on the first and third Saturday at 9 a.m. a brunch will be served until the end of June. This will make up for the meals missed while we were closed and without water and to maintain compliance with our contract with Area VI Aging Services.

We are very thankful and grateful for all the support we’ve received from so many people throughout Western Montana. We are a little past half way to our goal of raising the approximately $10,000 needed to pay for the well drilling, digging under the foundation, pump installation, wiring, plumbing and engineering and the myriad number of unexpected details that have to be accomplished to get a new water system up and running. Our thanks to everyone for their generosity and patience!
