“SKC Upward Bound is a federal program designed to prepare high school students for success in college. The program is currently recruiting graduating 8th grade students and high school students for participation in the summer component and 2016-2017 academic year. If you are interested in pursuing a college degree, improving academic preparedness, and joining a community of students with similar goals, Upward Bound may be for you. We provide weekly tutoring during the school year, assistance with all college-preparatory processes, a range of cultural and enrichment activities, and a six-week residential summer component. Summer program highlights include week-long service trips to Glacier National Park and the Bob Marshall Wilderness and a college visitation trip to Washington and Oregon.

Students will visit Whitman College, University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Oregon Coast Community College, Portland State University, while exploring unique sites on the Oregon coast and in Portland.

Students do not pay any fees to participate in Upward Bound.

Applications are available in the middle and high school guidance offices, and the Upward Bound office at SKC. If you have any questions about program services or application processes, please call the Upward Bound office at 406-261-1634, or 406-275-4988.
