Robert H. Galbraith

RONAN — Robert H. Galbraith, 87, of Ronan, passed peacefully, with his loving wife, Ruth, by his side on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Bob was born on June 12, 1929, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

After graduating from Boiling Springs High School, he married Mary E. Miller. He spent most of his career as a contractor. He operated a dairy farm, a soft-serve ice cream shop and fixed base operations. As a private pilot, he belonged to the Civil Air Patrol, and served with the Pennsylvania National Guard. After retiring from contracting, he pursued other various business ventures including a car dealership, brass bed manufacturing, and antique and retail sales, which gave him more time to spend as an artist and wood sculptor.

Bob was united in marriage to Ruth Carlson Hoffman on May 17, 1997. Bob and Ruth moved to Montana to enjoy the scenic land and wonderful people.

Bob’s parents, his wife, Mary and a brother, Ronald precede him in death.

Bob is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 19 years; his sister, Shirley Mellinger, of Newville, Pennsylvania; his brother, Gary Galbraith of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; his children: Lynn (Kitzie) Galbraith, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Mary Ann (Michael) Feeney, of Avondale, Pennsylvania and Judy Galbraith of Deltona, Forida; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and stepchildren: Ken (Lori) Hoffman, Michael Hoffman, Eric Hoffman and Jean (Michael) Moriarta and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
