Arline J. Raymond

POLSON — Arline J. Raymond passed away on July 10, 2016.

Our dear beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Sunday, July 10, with her eight children and other family members by her side.

Arline was born on Oct. 7, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Axel and Julia (Erickson) Lundberg. She moved as a teenager to the Tri-cities area in Washington during World War II, and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1946.

She married Richard J. Raymond on May 25, 1948, and began her life as loving wife and mother. She was a career woman before it was trendy, working in the Escrow department of the Seattle National Bank branch office in Pasco, Washington. Arline and Rick soon built their home in Pasco and began raising their family. The first six of their eight children were born there.

The family moved to Polson in 1963 where their last two children were born. Arline continued her career at Security State Bank in Polson, before moving to Lake County Abstract and Title Company, where she worked for 25 years.

She was an active member for many years of the Business and Professional Women’s Association and of the Altar Society of the Immaculate Conception Church. After retirement she volunteered at the Lake County Library, enjoyed exercising and socializing at the Senior Center, baking for her family and traveling to visit her many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.

Arline’s beloved husband of 47 years, both her parents and her siblings preceded her in death.

Arline is survived by sons Theodore J. Raymond (Sue); Mark T. Raymond (Linda Johnson); Roger A. Raymond (Mary); James W. Raymond (Dawn) and David R. Raymond (Erin); daughters Annette Raymond Brown (Leroy); Julia Raymond Lorenz (Willy) and Jeanette M. St. Amand (Robert); 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and innumerable friends.

A traditional Catholic Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Polson, where she was a member for 53 years. There will be a Rosary at the church on Wednesday, July 13, at 5 p.m. followed by a visitation until 7 p.m. Urn burial will take place at a later time. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at: www.TheLakeFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Lake Funeral Home and Crematory.
