Harold Lavern Schiele

PABLO — Harold Lavern Schiele passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, in Missoula. Harold Lavern Schiele was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Martin and Elsie Schiele on July 9, 1939.

Harold was a skilled carpenter and also built log homes and swimming pools. Later in life he was known as “Montana Gold.” He had a karaoke system and played at many establishments around the area. He could always be depended on to sing and play for all family get-togethers, music was a big part of his life. He was also an avid old car enthusiast; he enjoyed restoring and showing old vehicles.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church all of his life. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Marie Ida Schiele; four children, Dale Schiele (Pam) of Scottsdale Arizona, Rhonda Hogan of Tempe, Arizona, Barbara Hill (Dwayne) of Sweetwater, Texas, and Sandra Burby of Kalispell; two sisters, Delores David of Oregon and Sandra Noble of Kalispell; five brothers, Raymon Schiele of Eureka, Dennis Schiele, Larry Schiele and Steward Schiele of Ronan and Ronald Schiele of Washington; son-in-law, Jeff LaFromboise of Arlee; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Harold is preceded in death by parents, Martin and Elsie Schiele; two sisters, Eileen Frazier and Donna Toelke; two brothers, Marvin Schiele and Norman Schiele; and a daughter, Jerilyn LaFromboise.

Services have been held.
