RONAN — Lake County Home Options will offer a new hospice volunteer training program, starting Sept. 15 in Ronan, designed for those with a heart to serve their community. The free program prepares individuals to provide caring support while enriching the lives of those with a terminal illness. Through companionship and sharing skills and interests, a direct and real difference is made for those at the end of life’s journey.
The training series combines at-home study and in-office gatherings. A guided self-study portion of the training is accessible online or by DVD, allowing participants to learn on a flexible time schedule. Personalized provide knowledge and support for a successful and gratifying volunteer experience.
