RONAN – The eighth annual Ronan Harvest Fest is on Saturday at the Visitor’s Center on U.S. Highway 93 with plenty of food, crafts, games, vendors, and contests. The Ronan Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event.

Forty-seven local businesses and organizations are participating in a hay bale decorating contest where they turn a round bale into everything from a chicken to a gas pump. The public can vote for the best decorated hay bale during the festivities.

A scarecrow decorating contest will also take place and a new Dutch Oven Cookoff is also planned.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and finishes up about 3 p.m.

“Everybody come out and have a great time,” said Lana Bartel, executive director of the Ronan Chamber of Commerce.
