KALISPELL — Betty Lou Aadsen, was born Dec. 11, 1930, to Benjamen and Anna Thompson in Unionville, Missouri. Betty passed away Sept. 30, 2016, with her family by her side.

At the age of 5, Betty moved with her family to Kalispell where she attended school, graduating from Flathead High School. After graduation she worked for Wheelers Jewelry and on Sept. 18, 1949, she married Donald Aadsen. Don and Betty made their home in Evergreen, working there and raising two daughters. They were active members of the community and made many lifelong friends.

In 1962 Don and Betty moved to Ronan to manage the Ford dealership. They co-founded Don Aadsen Ford in 1966 and continued to be active supporters of the community. Don passed away in 1986 and Betty retired in 1988 and returned to Kalispell to live, renewing friendships there.

Betty was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, PEO, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She served on many committees and in various offices throughout her life. She always supported her daughters and their various activities. Betty loved to play bridge and watch Mariners baseball, but her greatest love was her family.

Betty’s husband, Don; sisters, Helen Miller and Dorothy Bowers; and brother, James Thompson, precede her in death.

Betty is survived by daughters, Ann Henricksen (Gordon) and Donna Daniels (Don Sophusson) of Ronan; grandchildren Eric Henricksen and Amanda Henricksen; and great-grandchildren Taylor and Landon Henricksen.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Buffalo Hill Terrace, The Retreat and Home Options Hospice for the care they provided.

Services will be held Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kalispell.

Memorials may be made to Buffalo Hills Terrace, Gratuity Fund, in care of Buffalo Hills Terrace, 40 Claremont St., Kalispell, MT 59901 or Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 S. Main, Kalispell, MT 59901.
