ST. IGNATIUS — When asked to write a composition entitled, “ What I’m thankful for on Thanksgiving,” Little Johnny wrote… “ I’m thankful I’m not a turkey.”

The senior center will be closed on Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of Thanksgiving and will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 29, for lunch at noon.

The quilters will be in the center on Mondays from 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The card party will be held on the second Monday evening of the month at 7 p.m. and everyone is welcome. The Ukulele group will meet on the first and third Monday evenings at 7 p.m. Neighborhood Watch will meet on the third Tuesday evening of the month at 7 p.m. and the public is encouraged to attend. Our next board meeting will be on Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m. and nutrition reports will be given.

We serve meals every Tuesday and Friday at noon and on the first and third Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. Meals can be delivered to qualified seniors, commodities are also available for qualified applicants. Please call the center for more information at 406-745-4462. The center is also available for rental.

Raffle tickets are still available for the quilt at $1 each or eight for $5. This drawing will be held at our Christmas dinner on Dec. 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Our menu is as follows:

— Tuesday, Nov. 29: soup and sandwiches

— Friday, Dec. 2: John Wayne casserole

— Tuesday, Dec. 6: tuna casserole

— Wednesday, Dec. 7: evening meal at 5:30 p.m. - roast beef

— Friday, Dec. 9: birthday dinner - chicken.
