News from the Montana Department of Transportation

RONAN — The Montana Department of Transportation is conducting a public information meeting to discuss the proposed reconstruction of U.S. Highway 93 north of Ronan in Lake County.

An open house and informational presentation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Ronan Community Center, 300 3rd Ave. NW. The open house will run from 5 to 7 p.m. with a short presentation at 6 p.m. The meeting is intended to update the community on the project split that allows the Ronan- North project to be scheduled for 2018 construction. No additional design has been completed for the Ronan-Urban portion (south of Round Butte Road), so no new information is available.

Community participation is an important part of the process, and the public is encouraged to attend. Comments and concerns may be submitted in writing at the meeting, by mail to Ed Toavs, Missoula District Administrator, at MDT’s Missoula District office at P.O. Box 7039, Missoula, MT 59807-7039 or online at: www.mdt.mt.gov/mdt/comment_ form.shtml.

Please indicate comments are for project UPN 1744019-RONAN-NORTH and submit comments by Jan. 7, 2017, to ensure your comments are adequately reviewed and considered during project development.
